The North Fork Environmental Council (NFEC) was founded in 1972 by a group of concerned citizens.
Our esteemed panelists will be asked to remember back to their beginnings in the Environmental and Advocacy work they’ve done. “What worked and how”” and “What didn’t and why not?” will guide the first part of the presentation. Then we will turn to “What if?” and “What next?” to get some guidance for our own hopes and efforts for the next 50 years.
Panelists:
Gwynn Schroeder (NFAS)
Debbie O’Kane (NFEC)
Dick Amper (Pine Barrens)
Kevin McAllister (Defend H2O)
Louise Harrison (Plum Island, Save the Sound)
Alison Branco (The Nature Conservancy)
Joyce Novak (Peconic Estuary Partnership)
Sid Bail (Wading River Civic Association)
